Fallout Zoo Vegas and Brakito is back, heck yeah! 15 minutes in and I’m laughing so much that my recently-recovered-from-a-cold lungs are suffering. But I really liked the poetic descriptions in this part! ❤️
Yeah, I was kinda worried that the ban waves would start on Bluesky eventually. I’m kind of interested in how the decentralized nature of the platform works. In theory, it would probably be possible to spin up a zoo-positive Personal Data Server using Bluesky’s ATProtocol, but that could easily be shut down by Bluesky’s official AppView, which would leave zoos having to host everything themselves. At that point, it’d probably just be easier to use Mastodon.
Oh! The AI mention at the end segment reminded me of when you tried to ask zooey questions from ChatGPT in one episode and kept getting censored. I tried that same thing with a language model running locally on my own computer and it was actually really analytical and nonjudgmental in its answers, which was really cool!
Question for the end of this comment, inspired by “sleeping with the fishes”:
If you could safely (for both you and the animal, of course) have sex with any non-mammalian marine animal, which one would you choose to do that with?
So it’s funny what you take away from some episodes: like R2D2 and C3PO having sex just seemed plausible, but then I wondered if droids could also be zoos so I asked google if C3PO ever had sex with a dog and apparently he has: https://www.instagram.com/angst_harrier/p/C0gTWk5uANX/?img_index=1
So it’s official C3PO is a zoo or at least is willing to consider relationships outside of his own production line model.
