I think technically hydro based transmission systems could said to be liquid based gears. As speed is determined by the pressure in the liquid.
So has your new sound engineer sorted out the problems with the wires under brass’s desk now. It takes great skill and expertise to know which wires aren’t needed and can be unplugged with a deft paw.
